This page is meant for advertising and discussing work, thoughts and issues of the CES folk. Here you could: write about a paper you found interesting or about your latest field trip (and put up photos too!), follow up on the colloquium you just attended, mull over inviting someone to hold a workshop (on let’s say a writing software that everyone can benefit from), or just start off a discussion on your favourite theory and wait for the comments to fill in!
Hopefully this will end the discussion on the lack of discussion amongst students in our department!
It’ll help us all in keeping this discussion forum informal, and pay no heed to them grammar nazis! That said, we shouldn’t forget that this is a public forum, and although a healthy disrespect for each others scientific opinion and strong albeit constructive criticism is welcome, a jab at someone’s aunt or weight will be moderated.
